Spiritual Growth Opportunities

The New Waves Community was begun by and the New Waves Community House was built by the New Waves United Church of Christ (NWUCC). NWUCC is most easily described as a progressive Open and Affirming Christian church, but we like to say that we follow the teachings of Christ, primarily to love others as we would like them to love us and that we believe that there is one God. 

That’s who NWUCC is in a nutshell, but we also want to be clear that we have no expectation that anyone involved in the New Waves Community will share our spiritual beliefs.  We welcome diversity on all levels, including diversity of spiritual beliefs, or none at all.

We know that everyone has their own perspectives or interests in how they connect spiritually, so we also invite you to check into these other Open and Affirming places of worship in our community.

NWUCC does not have a Sunday church service.  There are other great churches in our community that are Open and Affirming meaning they share our basic values.  One of those great Sunday churches is Mosaic Church . NWUCC and Mosaic members have partnered and continue to partner on our New Waves Community House activities on the calendar.
