Our Gatherings
At New Waves, we find value in gathering as a community to share our joys, supporting our neighbors of all kinds, and working together to make sense of who we are and what we can do with the time on Earth we have been given. Many of the things we all struggle with as humans don’t have easy answers, if they have answers at all. When we are dealing with the weight of the world, it’s our communities that give us strength. These are things we can do for each other, and share in the responsibilities that would usually fall on a single church leader.
Our gatherings will look different than most churches. They are simple. They are conversational. They are relational. We are a community that wants to deeply consider how the story of scripture and the gospel of Jesus call us to live today. Do those things have anything to say about the worries of our world? Does it speak to the injustice and suffering we see around us? Does it call us to a different way of living? We think it does.
